I was voted in to the role of ‘website administrator’ in June 2006, and my first job was to design the website, completely from scratch. Whilst I had some content already written by the group, the layout, color schemes etc. of the pages were to be decided by me.

The website has seen many changes since the original launch, but, after being re-elected for the 4th time in July 2009, I still play a massive role in maintaining Corinium Radio’s online presence.

The above image shows the Corinium Radio homepage as it was on October 27 2009. I have to regularly update the website with details of committee meetings and broadcast dates, as well as loading programme recordings and sponsors’ weblinks. In addition, when Corinium Radio is not on air I monitor the e-mails coming in via the website; e-mails are checked daily.

In November 2009, I completely redesigned the Corinium Radio website. Advantages of the redesign included (but were not limited to):

• New and more prominent news feed on the home page.
• Improved site navigation.
• The ability to create user accounts, to allow other volunteers to submit material.
